The Ad Hoc Tick Borne Disease Action Committee held a meeting on Wednesday,
June 16, 2010 at the C. H. Booth Library, Main Street, Newtown, CT
Present: Robert Grossman, Michele McLeod, Maggie Shaw, Kim Harrison, David Delia, Mark Alexander, George Miller, Kirk Blanchard
Also Present: David Shugarts and Pat Boily
Call to Order: Dr. Grossman called the meeting to order at 7:55 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: Mr. Alexander motioned to approve the minutes of June 2, 2010. Motion seconded by Mr. Miller. Minutes approved unanimously as amended.
Although there were no presentations at this meeting, it was announced that the Forest Committee and the Education Report is to be presented at the next meeting on June 23, 2010.
The committee discussed a timeline to conclude all the presentations as well as how they will vote on each report. It was suggested that the committee vote on individual recommendation within each report.
The reports will be presented to the Board of Selectmen with recommendations within each section. The committee anticipates completing all presentations very soon and planning to vote as soon as possible because of summer vacations and schedules.
